Are you passionate about the outdoors, and have a thirst for adventure? Are you a novice, but are interested in learning more about how you can enjoy kayaking and fishing? Are you just curious about all this hobby has to offer, and are looking for a little conviction to take your first step into this world?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, welcome to my website! I’m Chris Silver, and I’m on hand to help you out in any way that I can.
I grew up in Maryland, so the Chesapeake Bay played a major role in my early life. Some of my happiest childhood memories involve kayaking and fishing in this estuary with my Dad, who taught me everything I know. I now want to pay that forward by sharing my own knowledge. My twin daughters are sick to the back teeth of my stories and suggestions, so here I am!
Kayak360.com is my corner of the internet, where I discuss all things related to kayaking, fishing and anything tangentially related. I’ll be sharing tips and advice, but my real focus will be on reviewing and recommending gear and peripherals.
It can feel a little overwhelming to know where to get started if you’re a novice kayaker. Even if you’re familiar with the basics, knowing when to upgrade – and how – can be equally challenging. It’s easy to overspend in a name of misunderstanding, or to pick up in appropriate equipment. With my guidance, that will no longer happen.
I should make a disclaimer here – everything that I recommend will be based upon my own opinion and experience. That means that your mileage may vary. What’s good for me may not be ideal for you. I have vast experience of guiding, teaching and adventuring with a wide range of people though, so I will do everything in my power to cover all bases. I will make sure that I discuss my personal familiarity with products, and assert firmly and clearly who I think would benefit most from their use.
If you’re ready to start a new journey into the world of kayaking, or would simply like to read more about the equipment that makes this lifestyle possible, step on into Kayak360.com. I hope that you enjoy your stay – and if you have any queries, feedback or suggestions, you can always get in touch. I’ll get back to you as soon as I’m on dry land!
